Hello and welcome I'm so excited to get started on this ... you're here becauseyou want some more information about our Confident Cue Cards workshop- brand new -coming upvery soon. So if you don't know me I'm Jo from Sisters Speaking English and I'm anEnglish language teacher from New Zealand... so let me tell you a little bit about why I wantedto create this workshop. So you will probably know - there's a lot of information out there onthe internet about how to structure your IELTS writing, how to write your introduction, how to structure your body ...paragraphs, the different types of essays, and how you should structure the answers to those differentessays - but there's not so much about the IELTS speaking, particularly the cue card section. So the cue card section,as I'm sure most of you know, ... in that section you are given a card -atopic card with your topic and some suggestions for some details you should include. You have one minute to prepare-only one minute and then you have to speak for two minutes -TWO minutes -we'll talkmore about that later .So you have to speak for two minutes on that giventopic. And a lot of my students really struggle with it. They run out of things to say, they're not quite sure how to structure their ideas and link their ideas together well, and theyfeel quite lost and worried about that cue card section. So I thought it would bereally good to create a workshop where we can focus on that and really help you to knowhow to structure your answers get your ideas together and speak confidently for those two minutes because those twominutes are gonna go pretty quickly! Okay, so what we'll be covering in the workshop- we're going to lookat the different types of IELTS cue cards. There are different question types -so forexample ... you might have to describe a past experience, you might need to talkabout a person, you might need to talk about a place that you have been to ...or describe an object. There are -there are a range of different types of cue cards and we'll be lookingat each of those and I'm going to provide you with a template so that you can - a template foreach question type- so that you can structure your answers quickly you can identify which type of cue card youyou need to ... speak about, identify the cue card type and then quickly plan anicely structured answer. So you're not going to run out of things to say and you willknow how to link your ideas together well. So I will run the workshop at two at least two differenttimes during the day so that hopefully there will be a time that is suitable for you. Um I amvery aware that we are all in different countries and sometimes the time zones can bea little bit difficult to manage but I will give some different options. Really excited to have youhere do um sign up in the link below ... I look forward to seeing you hereDo send me a message or an email If you have any questions or comments on thisI'm excited to get started! We'll see you soon!
